Converting Avatars from Other Apps
If you have an existing avatar for another app (such as a VRChat avatar, a VRM, or a character made for a different VTuber app), the following pages have information on how to convert it into a character model you can use in kemorig.
Your Goal
Your goal is to obtain a character model that you can import into Unreal.

Your model should be in .fbx format and contain:
- The character’s skinned mesh
- The character’s skeleton
- The character’s Morph Targets for expressions (aka blendshapes, shapekeys)
What Is an .fbx File?
FBX is a standard file format used for exporting/importing between 3D Software and game engines. It is widely supported by most 3D Software and engines.
Try to Obtain a Source File
While you will be importing a .fbx file into Unreal, you probably also want a source file of your model that you can edit in 3D Software (such as a .blend file for Blender).
